Syringe Exchange and Paraphernalia

Infectious Disease Elimation Act

Allows for the creation of a single sterile needle and syringe exchange pilot program in Miami-Dade County. Current laws prohibit the possession of syringes as drug paraphernalia, however the IDEA Act overrides this and allows for the possession of syringes for the purposes of disposing at the IDEA Exchange.
